To celebrate the launch of my new website, XZUkiyoe.com, I’m giving away this lovely Kuniyoshi in a lottery. All you have to do is go to the website and send me an email. Put "Win the Print" in the subject line, and whatever you want in the body. If you'd share this on your Instory, that would be great, too. The winning email will be chosen at random in one week.

The print is a portait of Ickikawa Danjûrô VIII playing Jiraiya, a Robin Hood-like bandit. Dating from 1852, it is the second in a series showing kabuki actors in front of Mount Fuji. The views are always from Edo. Objects from the play border the cartouche in the right upper corner. It is oban tate-e.

It has a retail value of about $300. It's a great impression with only slightly faded color, but as you can see it's got a vertical centerfold and it's trimmed on the top. But hey, you can't beat the price -- Free! And worldwide shipping is free, too. Good luck!

*Update: Ms.Slavin of Niagra, Ontario, won the print on June 24td! Congratulations!
